handMADE Montana MADE fair

The MADE fair is a modern artist & handcrafted market featuring local and regional artists. Our juried events feature a curated collection of over 200 skilled artisans as well as a handful of non-profits.

The MADE fairs are presented by HandMADE Montana— a professional organization for art & handcrafted goods. We organize events (MADE fairs & workshops), provide resources to artists, and encourage growth and support within our community.

Visit our website or Facebook for additional information about events and other offerings. Please email questions to info@handmademontana.com

The handMADE Montana retail shop features a carefully curated collection of modern handcrafted goods from over 100 talented local and regional artists. We're excited to expand our offerings and are searching for a few new artists to join us in-store and potentially online.

While we typically select artists from our MADE fairs, we didn’t have the chance to connect with everyone in person this year. So, we’re casting a virtual net to find fresh talent to showcase during the holiday season and beyond.

If you’re interested in being part of our shop, we invite you to submit your work! Upload images of your best-selling creations, and tell us what makes your products unique and why you’d be a great fit. Think of it as your audition to join our growing community.

Our shop is currently brick-and-mortar, but we’re expanding our online presence daily to offer an even broader selection of goods. We’d love for you to be part of this exciting journey!

BOZEMAN FALL MADE FAIR

October 9-10 // Brick Breeden Fieldhouse

Are you a talented artist or maker looking to showcase your work to an engaged and supportive audience? The Fall Bozeman MADE Fair is the perfect opportunity. This juried event highlights the best in modern art and handcrafted goods, bringing together skilled artisans and a small selection of non-profits in a vibrant, thoughtfully curated marketplace.

Held at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, the Fall Bozeman MADE Fair is timed perfectly for early holiday shopping, attracting enthusiastic shoppers eager to support handmade and buy local. We also invite wholesale buyers to shop the show, offering retailers an excellent opportunity to discover new products and connect directly with the artists behind them.

At HandMADE Montana, giving back to the communities that support our events is a core value. Last year, we raised over $31,000 for Montana nonprofits through VIP ticket sales. We continue this tradition by partnering with a local nonprofit to offer exclusive early-access shopping during VIP hours on Friday from 5–8 pm and Saturday from 9–10 am.

VIP shopping hours create meaningful benefits for artists. These quieter, more intimate shopping periods allow VIP ticket holders to engage deeply with artists and their work, often leading to stronger connections, increased visibility, and greater sales potential—all while supporting a local nonprofit.

The MADE fairs are presented by HandMADE Montana, a professional organization dedicated to supporting artists and makers of handcrafted goods. Through our juried fairs, events, and resources, we work to foster growth, connection, and long-term sustainability within Montana’s creative community.

 APPLICATION PROCESS

We’ve established clear acceptance criteria focused on products handcrafted by individuals or small artisan groups. While we love seeing businesses grow and succeed, we believe it’s equally important to make space for emerging artists as they find their footing. To maintain the freshness and excitement of the MADE fairs for shoppers, we prioritize work that is thoughtfully designed and created by the artist, not mass-produced. We feature a mix of local and regional artists, and every application is carefully reviewed during the jurying process.

Supporting Montana’s creative economy is central to our mission. For highly competitive shows, priority is given to artists who live and work in Montana. While we welcome applications from exceptional regional makers, our goal is to ensure strong representation of Montana artists and to create meaningful opportunities for local creatives to grow their businesses and connect with their community.

This is a competitive, juried show, and applicants should keep this in mind when applying. The jury looks for unique products that align with the MADE fair’s modern, fun, and functional aesthetic, as well as overall quality, craftsmanship, and variety within the show. High-quality images are essential, as they play a key role in the jurying process—photos should clearly showcase the details and construction of your work.

The MADE fair exists to raise awareness of handmade goods as a thoughtful alternative to mass-produced items and to support local and regional small craft businesses by providing a professional platform to sell their work. Jurying is conducted by Team HandMADE Montana (Carol Lynn and Courtney), along with rotating guest jurors, including an artist and a community member.

  2. Upload images (5 product shots, 1-3 process images (how you make the items) , and one booth (a set-up of what your goods look like))

BOZEMAN FALL MADE FAIR

October TBA// Brick Breeden Fieldhouse

The Fall Bozeman MADE Fair offers Montana non-profits a meaningful opportunity to connect with a highly engaged audience while being part of a vibrant, community-centered event celebrating handmade and local creativity.

This juried fair, held at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, draws thousands of shoppers who are intentionally supporting small businesses, artists, and organizations that give back. Timed for early holiday shopping, the event attracts attendees who value community impact and are eager to learn about and support local causes.

At HandMADE Montana, giving back is central to our mission. Through VIP ticket sales alone, we raised over $31,000 for Montana non-profits last year. For the Fall Bozeman MADE Fair, we partner with a local non-profit to benefit directly from exclusive VIP shopping hours on Friday from 5–8 pm and Saturday from 9–10 am, with proceeds supporting your organization’s work.

Participating non-profits gain valuable exposure, opportunities to share their mission, engage with new supporters, and build lasting connections with artists, shoppers, and the broader community. Our events provide a welcoming, high-visibility environment that prioritizes meaningful interaction over high-pressure fundraising.

The MADE fairs are presented by HandMADE Montana, a professional organization dedicated to strengthening Montana’s creative economy and supporting the communities that make these events possible. We are proud to collaborate with non-profits whose missions align with community, creativity, sustainability, and local impact.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Community support for all of our events helps make them great. Non-profits play a significant role in creating opportunities, educating, and fighting the good fight all across Montana. They are often the building blocks for what makes our cities great. For the last five years, we have offered booths to local non-profits at a reduced rate to allow them to meet directly with the public they serve.  We are excited to continue providing space for non-profits at all our shows. We strongly encourage some hands-on activity to engage both children and adults who visit your booth.  We will be jurying all non-profits that apply to ensure they are a good fit for our event.
